John & Ros Birrell

John Birrell is currently the Manager and Head Coach of Tennis Plus, operating out of the Tennis Gold Coast Association. John has played tennis in Europe and the United States whilst also living in Germany for 10 years where he played and coached. John has been a Tennis Australia Qualified Coach for over 30 years. Having worked at the Pat Cash Tennis Academy as a Head Coach, John has plenty of coaching experience under his belt. John is father to Kim Birrell. Kim had a breakout Grand Slam tournament in 2019 after making it through to the third round of the Australian Open. She earned a wildcard for the Australian Open after impressive results across 2018 and winning the playoff in December 2018. Her WTA career high ranking to date is 235. John will be joined by his wife, Ros Birrell to talk about how they work together as a team to try and keep the balance.
